Accessibility Statement

Last updated: October 20, 2026

Our commitment

Gold Bug Park & Mine is a City of Placerville park. We want people with disabilities to be able to access park information and services, including through this website.

Our goal is to improve website accessibility using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 (opens in a new tab) Level AA as a benchmark. This statement is not a certification that every page or feature meets every accessibility requirement.

Need help or found a barrier?

If you have difficulty using this website, reading a document, or using a linked service to plan a park visit, please contact us. You can also ask for information in another format or for help completing a request.

When possible, include:

  • The page address or feature you were using.
  • What you were trying to do and the barrier you encountered.
  • Your preferred way for us to contact you or provide the information.

You may share your browser or assistive-technology details if they help explain the problem, but they are not required. Please do not send medical records or other sensitive information.

Accessibility tools

The website includes a UserWay accessibility menu with optional display and reading adjustments. These tools may help some visitors, but they do not replace accessible content, development, or assistance from staff.

Planning a park visit

Contact the park about access to a particular mine tour, building, path, or activity, or to discuss an accommodation for your visit. Website accessibility tools do not describe the physical accessibility of park facilities.

City assistance and grievances

For the City’s ADA Coordinator, accommodation information, and formal grievance procedure, visit the City of Placerville ADA information (opens in a new tab) page. You may contact the City directly; you do not have to contact the park first.

Ongoing improvements

We welcome feedback that helps identify barriers as this website develops. If part of the website is not usable for you, please contact us for assistance rather than relying only on the accessibility menu.
