A Virtual Tour of Gold Bug Park & Mine

Thousands of students annually visit our historic park and mine.  These field trips are fun and educational experiences that uniquely highlight California history and the Gold Rush. 

We wish we could take the kids on a tour of the park. Until we can get together again, our miners, blacksmiths and history experts have created this five episode, virtual field trip.

These short videos can be viewed at any time, in any order, individually or all at once.  There are vocabulary words and history fun facts to encourage a better understanding of mining, California history and the Gold Rush.

The written materials can be printed and shared. They support the videos and encourage observation and critical thinking. We hope you enjoy your virtual visit!  EUREKA!
